FGS completes $1.475 million renovation of Burlington apartments
FGS The Restoration Company
completed a $1.475 million renovation last month at
Riverview Manor, a 92-unit affordable housing apartment complex for the elderly and disabled that’s operated by the
Housing Authority of the City of Burlington, Wisconsin. FGS’ parent company,
Wisconsin Management Company, served as the general contractor, and Benz Architecture Limited designed the project, with
USDA Rural Development as the lender through its
Multi-Family Housing Preservation and Revitalization Demonstration Program.
Exterior improvements were made to the siding, concrete and vestibule, while the lounge and community room were renovated and common areas were painted. Among interior improvements were the plumbing, kitchen sinks and faucets, appliances, cabinetry, flooring, lighting and blinds. Bathrooms in all of the units were remodeled, featuring roll-in showers and low-curb showers, and there are now six fully accessible apartments.
