FGS The Restoration Company is holding an American Red Cross blood drive on March 24 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at its Madison headquarters. The goal is to collect 25 pints of blood. Donors of all blood types are needed, especially those with O positive, O negative, B negative and A negative. The Red Cross must collect 15,000 pints of blood every day to meet the needs of patients at about 2,700 hospitals and transfusion centers across the country, including 46 in Wisconsin. And red blood cells have a shelf life of only 42 days, so the blood supply needs to be constantly replenished.
